One of the biggest obstacles writers face is not having enough self-belief. Taking risks to express ourselves creatively can be scary stuff, and self-doubt can be triggered all too easily. Especially by comparing ourselves to other writers.
We set out to test this hypothesis in the video marketing arena. We wanted to find out if we could achieve page one status on Google and YouTube for our own work first.
When you read a book or watch a movie, especially a romantic one, you kind of know what the ending is going to be, right? But is that what you go to see? No. What grasps you is how the events unfold and how it leads to the climax. Similarly, while writing your romantic novel, you need to think of some interesting events that build up to the plot and lead to the climax.
4) Don’t try to please everyone. You can’t please everyone, so don’t’ try. Actually, contrary to popular belief, when you write about controversial subjects and get people riled up, they’re more likely to stay on your blog and post. Positive or negative, its’ a good thing because it helps with the rankings and stimulates others to post. It’s the small percentage of people who you get to love you that make the difference.
Take your child to see the school with you before you make a decision. It’s a lot easier for a child to settle into a new school if they have been there previously and had some input in the decision.
Sometimes you have to gently tell your mind to go to time out, just like a naughty three year old. Remind yourself that you write all day long. You’ve been writing since you were a child and it has not hurt you yet. You spend hours writing emails, articles, shopping lists, and reminder notes every day.
If you want to know how to write a book, the first step is to know the subject you’ll be writing on. Go with a subject you enjoy or one that you have a lot of expertise in. Just remember, no matter the subject, you need to ensure there is a demand for that information.
A third way is to get someone to interview you. Prepare a list of the top 10 questions you get asked by prospective clients and customers and 10 questions that your clients and customers should ask you about your business. Have your answers prepared as each question and answer will become one chapter of your book. You can hire someone to be the interviewer and the transcriptionist. Make sure your interview is at least 90 minutes long.
I base my little essay help upon this knowledge as well. I built a small list of 236 members. I then created a product, and priced it at $19.90. I sold eight copies of it. Of course, before creating the product, I’d already done some research on the marketplace.
Answer: I write what interests me, what others are asking about, issues I think need to be addressed, etc. I don’t have a process, so to speak, I just – write.
